Written by Harold Camping and first published in 1986, First Principles of Bible Study sets forth the foundational rules by which Scripture is to be interpreted: that the Bible is its own interpreter, that its meaning is disclosed by comparing Scripture with Scripture, and that no human method can unlock what God alone illuminates.

This is the primary text for ITJS-101 — The Foundations for Spiritual Interpretation: The Bible’s Hermeneutic. Students enrolling in that course should obtain it before instruction begins.
